THE LOCKER ROOM
Recently the Locker Room had another well attended function at the Kilburn Football Club. It was our first home game this year against Gepps Cross and I am happy to say we beat them. This makes it both sides coming down from Div 1 last year have buckled under the mighty CHICS!
At that day we had quite a few past players who attended the game but didn't know too much about the locker room, so we need to widen our search for past players.
We all met in the Locker room at half time for a short discussion regarding the charter of the locker room. We were also well entertained by Greg (Spuddy) Murphy on his past days playing with the mighty CHICS
After the game we asked for all past players and club members to witness the induction of our first group of "Locker Room Legends". Let’s not think this is going to be a huge group based on this induction". There were some that could not be separated and we felt needed to be inducted straight away. From here on, we expect that only one person per year will be included into this group, so these will be special times. Stay tuned for our next function!
We are pleased to advise that the Legends are:
- Denny Howson
- Phil Martin
- Stan Volbrecht
- Ken Algate
- Kerrin Martin
- Nick Williams
THE LOCKER ROOM OPENS FOR PAST PLAYERS TO UNITE
It is a great club, and one we love!
The Launch of THE LOCKER ROOM was a great night and was seen as an opportunity for past players to mix, tell a few stories and be proud to part of one of the most successful clubs in the SAAFL.
If you are reading this and are a past player, YOU NEED TO GET ON BOARD!
The future holds many more great events for past players to catch up. Stay tuned for the first inductee of the LOCKER ROOM LEGENDS! Who will it be?
